My Priorities

My vision for this board is straightforward - to offer a fresh perspective from a seasoned teacher's viewpoint.

I spent 35 years as an employee of Kanawha County Schools, serving in the classroom, support staff role, and as an itinerant. I have worked with all parties that are stakeholders with this organization - this includes students, families, teachers, service personnel, and administrators. My objective is to explore all ideas from these various directions before making decisions that affect them. I will always see things from their point of view, as I have recently retired and am very familiar with the school system and its operations. I also want our board to pursue transparency with all decisions and actions taken.
