About Lisa
- Hello, my name is Lisa Otey, and I am running for the Kanawha County Board of Education.
- I am from Eastern Kanawha County, growing up in Belle, WV, and attending Belle Elementary, Dupont Middle School, and Senior High School.
- I furthered my education at West Virginia State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and then attended Marshall University for my Master's Degree in Special Education. I also obtained my Reading Endorsement from Bethany College to help students and adults develop literacy skills.
- I currently live in the Kanawha City area with my husband, Jerry Nelson, who is a local State Farm agent, and our dogs Dallas and Khaleesi.
